Mr. Strauss has more than 25 years of experience in operations and principal investing. Mr. Strauss also was the founder and CEO of Trenmark Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of point-of-purchase displays. He also served as the CEO of SMC Corporation, a national multi-media company with offices and facilities in principal cities throughout the United States. Mr. Strauss led both companies in two separate exclusive sale transactions to publicly traded companies. He has also served on the boards of numerous for-profit and non-profit companies and organizations. Mr. Strauss’ industry expertise is in restaurant, marketing services and media.

Prior to joining Caymus Equity Partners, Mr. Strauss served as the CEO of Zada Equities, a private equity fund, where he has made numerous investments in the restaurant industry and took an active role in both quick serve and casual dining. Between 1993 and 1999, Zada Equities acquired and built 174 restaurants within Burger King system, becoming one of the four largest franchisees.

Mr. Strauss earned an M.B.A. and Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics from California State University.
